Miitopia is an adventure, role-playing game, where the Dark Lord Stan steals people’s faces and a team created by the player has to rescue them. The characters created in the game can have any features except for the clothes that are available during the game, The main character is a traveler who accidentally arrives in Miitopia, a peaceful place until the Dark Lord Stan appears out of nowhere and leaves most of the people in the town faceless.

The first place in Miitopia, where this calamity happens is Greenhorn that has its own King and a princess. Soon, the King and the princess also suffer the same fate and need to be rescued, although Greenhorn’s princess, who is soon to be married needs also help in reuniting her with her boyfriend. The Dark Lord Stan needs to be traced and defeated. Unfortunately, the Dark Lord Stan kidnaps the team except for the main character, who now has to create a new team.

The next area in Miitopia, Neksdor, located near a desert is then also visited by Stan while the genie Tony, who is accidentally released from the bottle steals money from one rich celebrity living there. The team has to battle to recover faces in Neksdor and then rescue the genie, whose face has been attached to a Pharaoh. After rescuing all faces in Neksdor the team is kidnapped again, and the new team travels to Realm of the Fey, where in the same way the residents lose their faces. The team finds out, however, that the Dark Lord Stan is in Karkaton.

In Karkaton, the kidnapped team needs to be rescued, so a sage helps the main character in battles as well as rescuing the members of the team. When the Dark Lord Stan is located and defeated, he manages to steal the face from the sage and turns into an even darker lord, who then disappears.

The entire team now heads to the Traveler’s Hub, a place where there are many travelers, who may know where the darker lord may be. The team has to complete various quests, and in the end, they learn the location of the darker lord. When they arrive at the tower where he resides, they realize that it is locked with jewels. The team has to go back to the Traveler’s Hub to find these jewels through completing quests and return to defeat the Darker Lord, who adopted the face and the powers of the sage.

Although some parts may appear to be easy in Miitopia, it turns out that as the game progresses there need to be good strategies and puzzles solved to win this game that is full of surprising turns of events and funny moments.
