Metroid Prime Remastered is a new version of Metroid Prime published in 2002, being also the continuation of Metroid Dread a 2D platformer published in 2021 that was about exploration of the planet ZDR. Metroid Prime contains shooting elements but its main part constitutes exploration while also involving solving puzzles and jumping platforms. Samus has to fight enemies including bosses.

Samus Aran wins awards as well as seeks to uncover various mysteries. We meet her when she arrives at Tallon IV inhabited by cosmic pirates who conducted there their experiments. Samus has a task to find out how a radioactive Phazon increases the strength and size of various creatures and how it was made. All Samus knows is that some meteor brought Phazon to Talon IV. Samus needs to explore a variety of places as well as find out about Chozo population. She also has to gain new abilities and skills to progress. It turns out that Phazon came with the creature called Metroid Prime, who had to be contained in a temple to prevent Phazon from spreading. Samus manages to gain entry to the temple but is attacked by Riddley. She defeats Riddley as well as Metroid Prime, but her suit is damaged and she needs to escape.

Talon IV in Metroid Prime consists of a maze, where we need to figure out how to cross from one part to the next. There are underground tunnels with lava, tropical forests, and snowy landscapes. To explore the entire area, we need to first unlock its parts.
