Dead Space Review

dead space

Dead Space is a remake of the game from 2008 that was to be one of the scariest games at the time. The game contains significant improvements with regards to its predecessors Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3 as well as changes incorporating elements of comic books based on this theme.

The story takes place in the 26th century. Isaac Clarke receives a signal from his girlfriend, Nicole Brennan about an attack of Necromorphs, mutated human corpses on USG Ishimura, a mining ship near the Aegis VII planet. He is sent there to repair the ship. When he lands on Ishimura, he and his crew have to fight Necromorphs. He also learns how Necromorphs that were part of an outbreak were created.

He needs help, but when another ship arrives, he finds out that it was sent to destroy Ishimura and any survivors. Isaac needs to battle the Hive Mind, a Necromorph that gives orders while dealing with induced by Unitology hallucinations. He has to prevent the merging of Necromorphs and other humans on Earth. Isaac has many tasks including saving his girlfriend Nicole, repairing the ship as well as unraveling the mysteries surrounding the cult responsible for inducing psychosis on the ship.

The gameplay involves the exploration of a large ship while we are being attacked by monsters as well as Necromorphs, Exploration unlocks various areas and allows for accessing supplies necessary to survive on the ship. The visual effects and 3D music make the entire gaming experience immersive.

The game was released for PS 5, Windows, and Xbox X/S.
